Celebrating Canada’s Top Natural Sciences and Engineering Researchers

Her Excellency the Right Honourable Julie Payette, Governor General of Canada, The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science and Sport, and Kate Young, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Science and Sport joined NSERC Interim President, Dr. Digvir S. Jayas to recognize some of Canada’s top researchers in the fields of natural sciences and engineering. This year, 28 recipients and 7 industry partners received six prestigious prizes totaling $3.71 million. These awards showcase some of the best and brightest scientists and engineers from across the country every year and the recipients represent the full spectrum of our country’s research talent, from students just embarking on their careers to seasoned researchers making internationally recognized discoveries.
